The project includes the total rehabilitation of Marienlyst primary and secondary school, which was originally built in the early 1950s. The building has been converted into temporary teaching areas. A nursery has also been fitted in, as well as wards for the multi-functional disabled and for the mentally disabled. The listed hall has been restored, it is on the city antiquary's yellow list.
The school has been extended with a new multi-purpose hall, in addition the original swimming facility has been completely rehabilitated and new accessible entrances have been added as extensions. In the interior, emphasis has been placed on using colors and surfaces that reflect the 1950s. In addition to architectural services, Romfarer arkitekter has held the function of PGL manager. The project has been carried out as a contractor-managed subcontract.
